Mount Toubkal: 3-Day Excursion from Marrakech
Itinerary Day 1
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil (1,740m) – Tizi Mzik Pass (2,479m) – Tamsoult Refuge (2,250 m)
- Departure: from Marrakech between 8:00 – 9:00 am. driving towards the High Atlas Mountains, passing through Tahnnaout, Oued Ghighaya, and Asni, enjoying stunning views of villages along the valley.
- Arrival in Imlil: Upon reaching Imlil (65 km from Marrakech), you’ll meet your guide and muleteer.
- Trekking: We’ll begin our hike ascending the Tizi Mzik Pass (2,479 m), offering spectacular views over the Imlil Valley and the Toubkal Summit. We’ll continue to Tamsoult to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains (100 m high) through a juniper forest.
- Accommodation: Overnight at Tamsoult Refuge.
- Meals: Lunch and dinner.
Walking duration: Approximately 4-5 hours.
Itinerary Day 2
Day 2: Tamsoult Refuge (2,250m) – Aguelzim Pass (3,650m) – Toubkal Refuge (3,207m)
- Breakfast: Early morning at the refuge.
- Trekking: This day is intense, with a significant ascent to the Aguelzim Pass (3,650 m). The climb is long but gradual, offering impressive views of the Toubkal Summit. We’ll then descend towards the Toubkal Base Camp, situated at 3,200m.
- Accommodation: Overnight at Toubkal Refuge.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Walking duration: Approximately 6-7 hours.
Itinerary Day 3
Day 3: Toubkal Refuge (3,207m) – Toubkal Summit (4,167m) – Imlil (1,745m) – Marrakech
- Breakfast: Very early in the morning to prepare for the ascent.
- Ascent to the summit: We’ll start the climb to Mount Toubkal (4,167m), the highest mountain in North Africa. From the summit, weather permitting, you’ll enjoy panoramic views over the Atlas Range and the Sahara Desert.
- Descent: After spending time at the summit, we’ll descend past the refuge and continue to Imlil.
- Return to Marrakech: From Imlil, transfer back to Marrakech.
- Meals: Breakfast and lunch.
Walking duration: Approximately 9-11 hours.

- A moderate physical condition is necessary to complete the trek.

Price and booking
€350 - €480 per person
The tours are private and the price per person depends of the size of your group.
After you contact us and we tailor the tour to your group’s needs, we’ll create a provisional booking with the proposed dates, total cost, and all the key details.
To confirm your reservation, we require a 20% deposit. The remaining balance is paid in Morocco, in cash, at the beginning of the tour.
Both payments can be made in Euros, GBP, USD, or MAD.
