Atlas Mountains: Full-Day Excursion from Marrakech

Departure:
We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech around 9:00 am. We’ll embark on a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes southwards, traversing the picturesque Moulay Brahim Gorges and passing through Asni, known for its weekly market on Saturdays.

Arrival in Imlil (1,740 m):
Upon reaching the charming village of Imlil, you’ll be welcomed with a traditional mint tea at a local guesthouse. Here, you’ll meet your English-speaking mountain guide, who will accompany you during the hike.

Trekking:
We’ll begin a hike heading south, passing through authentic Berber villages and enjoying panoramic views of the High Atlas peaks, including the imposing Mount Toubkal, the highest in North Africa.

Lunch:
Enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch on the terrace of a guest house in the village of Aroumd, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.

Return:
After lunch, we’ll descend back to Imlil, where our vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Marrakech, with an estimated arrival around 5:00 pm.

  • The hike is of moderate difficulty and suitable for individuals with basic physical fitness.
  • During winter months, temperatures can be cold in the mountains; it’s advisable to bring warm clothing.

€140 - €250 per person

The tours are private and the price per person depends of the size of your group.

After you contact us and we tailor the tour to your group’s needs, we’ll create a provisional booking with the proposed dates, total cost, and all the key details.
To confirm your reservation, we require a 20% deposit. The remaining balance is paid in Morocco, in cash, at the beginning of the tour.
Both payments can be made in Euros, GBP, USD, or MAD.

Can hiking equipment be rented?
Yes, it’s available on-site. Please request in advance.

Is it suitable for beginners?
Basic hiking experience or moderate physical condition is required.

Where is the luggage stored?
It can be stored in the village or transported by mule.
